BISA Joins Renee Ridgeley to Discuss Going Flat on Lowcountry Live
Representation matters! On Wednesday, Oct. 19, Charleston’s Lowcountry Live featured Maria Gmitro and Renee Ridgeley, the voice and inspiration for The Simpsons character Dr. Wendy Sage, who made her debut last year in the episode “Lisa’s Belly” as a one-breasted character living with breast cancer.
Dr. Wendy Sage embodies flat visibility by bringing a body-positive message about living with less than two breasts to the world. Renee and the Stand Tall AFC team are making appearances all over the U.S., raising awareness of Aesthetic Flat Closure as an option for patients facing breast cancer.
