Laura Willging, RN, BCPA, is a registered nurse and board-certified patient advocate serving on the board of directors for Breast Implant Safety Alliance.
She is a member of the American Nurse’s Association and the Iowa Nurse’s Association and has working experience in the inpatient acute care setting, outpatient Neurology, Pharmacy Benefit Manager also with Health Information Management/Finance/Patient Service Representation roles within a Patient-Centered Medical Home-Community Health Center.
She advocates and supports patients across many disease states including breast implant-generated illnesses, breast implant-associated cancers, ME/CFS, Dysautonomia, Long Covid, and migraine disorder, to name a few.
She has submitted her advocacy works to patients’ legal representation and certain state Department of Justice and Medical Administration and contributed to patient support and appeals within the Veterans Administration health care system.
Outside of patient-centered support initiatives, she enjoys hobby photography and writing poetry and various literature pieces.
