Jasmine "Jae" Hermann is a seasoned brand marketing consultant and copy editor with over 20 years of digital media publishing experience. In 1997, Jasmine got breast augmentation to correct a childhood injury that left her with one breast.

But after over a decade of struggling with debilitating health issues of "unknown" origin, she realized that her 20-year-old saline implants could be the culprit of her mysterious illnesses after watching the documentary, The Bleeding Edge. Within months, she researched surgeons, joined Breast Implant Illness support groups on Facebook, and underwent explant surgery in 2018.

Jasmine openly shares her explant story to encourage other women left disfigured after explant to ditch perfectionism in exchange for self-love and acceptance. Jasmine is passionate about environmental sustainability, helping creative professionals publish compelling (and grammatically sound) content, gender equality, and body positivity.

Jasmine enjoys playing pickleball, a good Scrabble game, or New York Times Wordle puzzle. She lives in a sunny seaside town in Sarasota-Tampa Bay, FL.
