Breast Implant Cancer with Jennifer Cook, BISA’s Director of BIA-ALCL Advocacy
Jennifer Cook began as a breast implant patient. She learned about the risk of developing cancer from breast implants at a school play. Less than two years later, she was diagnosed with a cancer called BIA-ALCL, which stands for Breast Implant Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. Today she helps other women looking for information, support and treatment of the disease.
Jennifer Roth Cook is a leading advocate on breast implant cancers and is the Director of BIA-ALCL Advocacy for Breast Implant Safety Alliance (BISA). Earlier this year, she was asked to speak about her experience with breast implant cancer at the Breast Implant Illness Summit 2024. We hope this video of her sharing of her experience as both a patient and as an advocate will be helpful to others that may be at risk or wanting to learn more information. Read more about Jennifer.
We have added some helpful resources below including what are the symptoms of BIA-ALCL, the latest data, where to find support and how to contact Jennifer Roth Cook.
