She will be presenting the work that won her the 2023 Excellence in Social Work Award from the Association of Contextual Behavioral Sciences.

”It's my honor to be the Keynote Speaker on Day 2 of this year's Social Work Foundations' conference in Chicago on August 17 & 18.I attended this event last year and appreciated the opportunity to earn so many CEUs featuring refreshing topics. I vividly recall hoping to speak this year about my work supporting the overlooked psychosocial needs of breast implant surgery patients (e.g., mastectomy and reconstruction, augmentation, restoration, top surgery, and explant or explant-to-flat). And it's happening!”
-Amanda Savage Brown, Ph.D., LCSW

So often the emotional healing from breast implant and explant surgery is completely overlooked however it can be equally as important as the physical healing. BISA is thrilled that Amanda Savage Brown’s work in this area is being recognized and highlighted. Read more about the upcoming conference.
